  • I have been a Big Brother for only a few months and I can tell you it is one of the most personally rewarding things I have ever done, bar none

Prior to this I had NO experience in dealing with kids and I wasn't sure that I would know what to do. Your local agency will train you, but there really isn't much training needed, just be a friend.

My little brother (7 yrs old) said to me yesterday "In class we talked about people we trust and I put YOU as someone I trust.."

What do you say to that?

  • I'd love this programme to be in England.

  • I have been a Big Brother for almost a year now. I will agree with you that it is definately very rewarding and completely worthwhile, but I must say that it has also been a challenge of sorts (in a good way) as well.

A really great experience though, and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about really making their community a better place. :-)
