@ratkaatka Dracula - The Storm
-
what is the name of the song?

@bananaficator Of course I get your point. I've never said, that wasn't paso doble dance, because it is. As I like to say: The artist defines the art he's making ;)

@Dinelril Now you're making sense. What u said is indeed correct, but my whole point was just that, technically they are obeying the rules of this dance competion. Of course, this music doesn't actually remind me of paso doble either, more of Dracula. I don't really get their choice for this music to use it in their paso doble. But you get my point:P

@bananaficator it's all connected to each other. The Dance intimitates a Bullfight whilst the paso music was/is the music played at a Bullfight in Spain and southern France which implies to play the paso music to the paso dancing. Also, the dance evolved from a french military march, which makes it apparent to dance it to march music, such as the paso music.
Of course, you don't have to combine it, but it's a totally different feeling. This dance reminds me more at dracula than a bullfight.

@Dinelril oh and also; I've played Plaza des ventas, and it is indeed really nice.

@Dinelril you should read better next time. I never said paso doble can't be music;) I said: paso doble DANCE. Because; originally the paso doble IS a dance style, first danced in the '20's. YES there is paso doble music, but paso doble doesn't mean anything else than double step, which indicates a rithm. The paso doble music you talk about, was first called paso doble after people started to dance paso doble. Btw; I've played a lot of paso dobles so I think I know what i'm talking about.
This dance was amazing. I just wish that we didn't have to see and listen to the crowd clapping during the performance. Its distracting. *Ohh look I'm clapping in the middle of a very intense and dramatic performance* I agree this would have been great in a movie scene.

Impressive. The use of the Dracula main theme works really well with the passion of the Paso.
