  • My opinion?

    1) "Dog burps" will destroy your lower back over time. (Obvious reason anyone can see)

    2) "Thigh squats" will destroy your knees over time (shearing pressure at full flexion) Much better to do proven exercises that are safe and effective. These seem like being fancy just to stand out but there is no rocket science in getting in shape and no need to risk injury. Stick to basics and get in shape safely.

  • @seawall3 Destroy your low back...? Not unless you have tight hips. And humans were made to squat. Unless you already have bad knees from something else, there's no reason to avoid them.

  • Killer workouts Adam! I just downloaded the book and got started this morning.

I started with 10 min. of Scott's Intuflow then I completed 3 rounds of the 6 bodyweight exercises circuit (level 1).

I can't believe how good I've been feeling all day. Most of the time I feel depleted and in pain after workouts. I'm writing about this all week on my blog!

  • Oh my god, Bear Grylls, what happened to your accent!?

    LOL.

  • Dogburps remind me of last night. . . .

  • @mixolydo LOL!

  • @CSTnorth @seawall3 I've followed several cst programs now. My back is stronger and more painfree than ever. However, were I an unsuspecting starting athlete I have to agree with seawall3 here. The Dog Burps can easily be done wrong and have the effect seawall3 mentioned. Especially in generic, public video's such as this you could include a 'this is what you do not want to do/feel!' type of warning. Can even help increase sales. 'For more detailed instructions....' yadayada...

  • These excersizes have added true strength to my knees back and overall conditioning. Someone commented about 'Destruction", children need to stay off these subjects.

  • @joezim007 Right, being able to move explosively would never have served us in the wild. That's why we evolved to only bend and flex slowly. Not.

  • @CSTnorth Great ideas buddy

  • @seawall3 Can you define basics? Fitness is changing all the time. What you refer to as basic was once revolutionary at one time. If nobody pushes boundaries how can we improve. I thought these exercises were fantastic although some require good flexibility and conditioning of areas most people avoid training. Your right about training safely though so I guess some common sense needs to be applied. Evolution not revolution right? lol

  • @CSTnorth I can see how it can hurt your back and knees. It wasn't the squat that hurts your knees... it's the quick full extension.

  • This looks really good. The "Quad Squats" remind me a little of an exercise called "bootstrappers."
