This is "The Girl from Ipanema" the great Bossa Nova song from Harpist Mariano's Midsummer Harp Concert. The traditional Paraguayan harps have no levers, but Mariano cleverly redesigned his harp with levers for instant chromatic adjustments. This innovation enabled him to extend play wide variety of music than just traditional fork music. Watch how he moves up and down those levers. Wow. I know how fast this piece is to play on a lever harp! (and even on a pedal harp). But what amazes me most is how fast you play your appegios/scales. That is mastery! Very inspiring for me to learn as a harpist. How did you manage to learn to play so fast? Lots of practice? If you come to Germany around Köln/Bonn, I would be happy to take some lessons with you.

I heard a harp in person once... it was one of the richest auditory experiences I've ever had - gentle, magical and almost dreamlike; the stuff of angels. Quite disappointing that so few people devote to it.
