OK, the lesson for this day is spectral aluminum is not a good material choice for reflectors requiring any complex curves. The zinc coating on the galvanized sheet steel polished up amazingly well and easily. I sealed it with liquid glass urethane car polish to help protect from corrosion. It definitely increased the performance of the SOX fixture.
