Holy crap this guy obviously bull-shitted his way into a instructor position. It is clear he doesn't know what he's talking about and never has. Lots of observations, are those hoods from Harbor Freight? Welder is a toy. MIG is kinda a misnomer since it implies inert SHIELDING gas (not purge), Gas Metal Arc Welding is more appropriate. His storage procedure is new to me. Tanks should be opened slowly, BUT you shouldn't have your face 3" away when you do it!

I'm considering taking an Engineering course and despite some of the comments here, I found it really helpful, it's pretty much made up my mind that I want to do this. :}

I am just starting to learn how to get into welding. I learned a lot from this video. Yes, there was no hair-tie and safety is promoted for the first part of the lecture, but to someone that has only ever soldered or sweated copper pipes, this was verey helpful. I was surprised that he called it "Mechanized" because I thought it stood for "Metal" so I will continue learning. For my 14 year old son, who wants to learn, this is a great start.
