First Song (For Ruth)

"First Song (for Ruth)" as played by Stan Getz on the album _People Time_. I transcribed almost the entire solo and play it here.

People Time was recorded at Stan Getz's last public appearance and is his last album. He died soon after from cancer. He played with pianist Kenny Barron on the album.

you play an alto, that's not fair.

the tricky thing about his solos is, to get that soft and smooth sound in the high registers. and that's way harder on a tenor.
