1-piezzo treble control
2-magnetic pu bass&treble control
3-piezzo volume control
4-magnetic pu control

--At the back:
Under the bridge: 4 levelers for piezzo sensitivity for each string
at the bottom:
-left: piezzo bass&treble control
-right: piezzo gain control
**
With piezzo pu's and its treble control knob acoustic bass sound can be adjusted
Main pickup is a little bit dark because the overall shine comes from piezzo

With adjustment at the back eq, good and rich sound is achieved.

  • Nice demo, I have the same bass by the way, could you please tell me what strings did you have, and how did you record (direct or w/ amp)?

    Thanx.

  • @sin2Pi They were Daddario EXP 220 coated .040 .060 .075 .095 strings, direct record to pc. Thanks for watching :)

  • Do you know the width of the neck's heel?

  • @Twatzaki101 I don't have this bass now but I can assure you that it was the thinner, narrower and most comfortable fingerboard I have ever seen.

  • That bass looks really funky....meaning cool ofc :-)

  • @eek384 Be carefull with screws, i think body material is not that durable. Happy to see you solved the problem.

  • @offom the original foam that held the pickup from the body was smashed way down and was not holding the pickup close enough to the strings. With the new rubber it seems to be sounding 100% better. Thanks again for all the help. Again great video, you make that bass sound great.

  • @offom The humbucker does work all by itself with the piezzos turned down. I tore it down last night, took the humbucker out, made some rubber shims to raise the pickup about 3/8 of an inch, so it is slightly closer to the pickup. I turned the individual piezzo volumes down and worked them each up so they were equal to the humbucker volume. Then I tweaked in the bass eq on the back for the piezzos and it sounds pretty good.

  • @eek384 Just turn piezo all the way down, does humbucker sound really weak ? We know that, it shouldn't be. Easy solution. It's not growling, ok thats true but it has volume at least. Please inform me about the problem&solution.

  • @offom Thanks for the reply, I have a schematic for all the potentiometers and dials. even with the piezzo volume potentiometer turned down on the back it is still louder than the humbucker that is turned up the whole way. So this is pushing towards the pickup is bad. Thanks again for the reply.
