I got an hd 5g myself, it also didn't start without easy start, but after cleaning the injectors and some new diesel its starting much better.

Got one myself an HD5G. Almost always have to start it with spraycan either if its been sitting for a day or longer. Nice one!

Father had one just like that when I was a kid! 2cyl. Detroit diesel? I've started a lot of engines with a little help from a can, never hurt one yet!

I would have thought 'why' is obvious from the video, there was no way it was going start without it! Although it's in relatively good nick it had been unfortunately sitting unused for a few years.
