Her making faces distorts her voice to make a certain sound. Knowing how to do that is so brilliant it amazes me. She's also putting her breath away from the microphone, so she doesn't affect it with pops and the like. She doesn't need one of those pantyhose filters because she knows how to use microphones.

See this is where the music I like, will listen to, bob my head to seperates from the music I also respect at the sametime. You can tell she has been playing the guitar most of her life, probably taught herself. Just in the way she plays, her progressions and chord choices. True talent, brewed over years and lifes experiences.

i don't think she's making faces, this is art in music and how her voice sounds depending on the shape of her mouth and how she sings out her notes, which i think is absolutely brilliant and sets her apart amongst other artists. SHE"S GREAT!
