This is a scene from the movie "Fire Birds" in which Jake (Nicholas Cage) wastes the dude in the "Scorpion Helicopter". The "Scorpion Helicopter" is actually an MD500 Defender armed with a 7 shot rocket pod and a .50cal machine gun pod.

  • WINGs OF THE APACHE, not Firebirds, that sounds like a cheap porn film!

  • @ST11002006

It went by both those names.

  • Has anyone ever seen that movie where a guy takes a helicopter and is in a battle with two jets in a city???

  • @Cj816

Was the helicopter blue? I seem to remember a scene from the movie Blue Thunder where he has to fight off some jets in a city. . .

  • isnt that a littlebird?? MH-6??

  • @Cj816 I have blue thunder. the guy from Jaws is th epilot.

  • I totally forgot this movie existed.

  • this is my favorite scene!

  • in real life the OH-6 Cayuse couldn't even keep up to the Apache because the Apache has a maximum cruising speed at over 200 mph and the OH-6 Cayuse has a maximum cruising speed of 137mph

  • "oops..you blew it" Does any one else find this movie dialogue line has stuck with them in life and they find themselves saying it...say..when someone misses a free throw or something? :) Weird..not a great movie, but that is a GREAT line.

  • in a real rifle, a little bird can easily beat Apache up

  • This was a very bad movie.

  • Reminds me of Blue Thunder.

  • @beau800 I don't always die, but when I do, I prefer by the Apache.

    Stay dead, my friends.

  • @ST11002006 "Wings of the Apache" was the name of the film for the UK release which was five months after the original US release of "Fire Birds"
