@Jagged85 I respect the whole Japanese families. I am not selfish because they would remember the whole disaster that devastated their country. If they make this game, they will remember that disaster they go through. I prayed for Japan to ensure that their families are alright.

disaster report 4? wait, the first disaster report was about looking for water, and the second disaster report aka raw danger is about escaping flood, and if this one is the 4th, where is the 3rd?

Actually the Real reason asides from the earthquake was that the developing company Irem was behind on some of the progress and about the game cancelled, the lead developer who left Irem that started the Disaster report series said that one of his goals is to start up the disaster report series again

Watching this trailer knowing that Irem is pretty much dead now makes me want to cry. At least the producer of this and Bumpy Trot moved on to make his own company now and I look forward to what they come up with.

@LOLWUTAPPLESAUCE101 Personally I think a game like this SHOULD be for just like that.
(And if you learn some useful survival skills, hey bonus! )

@TheRadicalOneNG You make an excellent point. I never thought of it that way, but you are right 100%. If they can make movies and books, they can make games. Also, I'm curious to know if Japan will overreact further and take the first 3 Disaster Reports off the market.

I think they cancelled it because it would bring back painful memories for the survivors and the families of victims, so it would make sense to postpone the game, although complete cancellation might be taking it a bit far.
Like others have said, this could have been a way to experience what it was like to be in the shoes of victims during the disaster, and the profits made from the game could have went to disaster relief.

@helldweller24 Are you fucking serious? -__-
I mean no disrespect to anyone, especially the victims of the earthquake, but I feel that if done correctly, it could be a respectful tribute of a game, rather than a mockery of it.
I can see why they would cancel the game development, but if someone could write a book, or shoot a movie about the earthquake, why not make a game, why not give people who only saw it on the internet, an interactive way to help understand what the nation of Japan had to endure?

Why not take the money you make from the game, and give it to relief efforts?
