Episode 33: Rafe Blandford's hands-on with the Nokia N900 Maemo

At Nokia World, I sat down and had a play with the Nokia N900 Maemo device. It is, of course, pre-release -- but that didn't stop the nice looking interface begin to impress. What I really wanted to know though, was what Mr All About Symbian, Rafe Blandford, thought of the device. So I am thoroughly delighted to be able to bring you his first impressions. Here we go...

Up to 16 I thought it was, but that actually seems not enough as it still runs DAMN fast with 16 apps running.

ONLY IF THE N97 HAD THE HARDWARE OF N900 WHICH WOULD MAKE THE N97 BETTER THAN N900.

no carriers for this device but it will work with t-mobile 3g :D

That may be a problem in the states. Nokia really doesnt have carrier subsidies on their flagship devices. Usually, contract free. Also, they seem to cut themselves off to carriers due to our split 3g spectrums here.

The best thing to do is to wait until you can get your hands on both -- and see what you think. I think the N900 *could* be brilliant... it depends how developers react to it.
