Syrian Nuclear Reactor Revealed

The U.S. claims it has photo evidence that Syria was secretly building a nuclear reactor with the help of North Korea. Syria denies the accusation. Here's more.

STORY:
New photos Pentagon chiefs describe as intelligence supporting their charge that Syria was secretly building a nuclear reactor with North Korean help that "was not for peaceful purposes."

Syria rejects the accusation as "ridiculous" and denies any links to Pyongyang.

The Pentagon has repeated the charge and backed it up with these stills it says show the alleged reactor after it was bombed by Israel last September.

[Admiral Michael Mullen, Joint Chiefs of Staff]:
"That this facility was being built secretly and against international convention and that it was destroyed before it became operational are the key points to remember. It should serve as a reminder to us all of the very real dangers of proliferation and need to rededicate ourselves to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction particularly into the hands of a state or group with ties to terrorist connections."

On Thursday, American security officials showed members of Congress video they say proves their case against Syria.

Damascus counters that the site was an unused military facility and work on it had stopped some time before the Israeli air strike.

The UN's chief nuclear watchdog - the International Atomic Energy Agency -says it will investigate Washington's claims. But it also says it "deplores" the fact it took seven months for it to go public with them.

Looks like they barely got the concrete in there, so how do we know its a nuclear reactor? How do the "experts" know it's a nuclear reactor when those same experts are maligned, and their credibility questioned, when they come forward about 9/11 - a la Maj General Stubblebine, a Cold War intelligence analyst, questioning an airliner hitting the Pentagon.
