Yes, I can control each turnout with the addition of an NCE Snap-It decoder to each of the twin-solenoid turnout motors.
It was my operators who insisted that I added a control panel with toggle switches, as well

Dear John, A question, with DCC and intensive switching operations, how do you find handling questions from the viewers? Is it easy to interact with the crowd without bringing the layout to a stop (or having a catatrophic issue due to momentary inattention to the train movement),
or is the priority on the train movement, (focus on layout, backs to crowd),
and therefore possibly giving the crowd the impression that the operators are ignoring them?
Inquiring minds would like to know...

Good question. I try to answer all questions and other stuff, like inviting the youngsters to ring the bell or blow the whistle. Sometimes I can continue with a switching move while talking. Other times I stop the loco in a prominent position and the loco goes through it's repetoir of hisses, banging and shovelling.
I got sick of operating from behind the backscene on previous layouts and staring at people's bellies. From the front, I can get immersed in the modelled scene.
