Hard top convertibles weigh considerably more. To preserve performance, some manufacturers stick with soft tops.

I think it looks sweet. The reason for hard tops is because the drag and noise of the orginal soft tops. If check out car and driver Aston Martin for example thats the biggest complaint is the wind noise.

i don't get it why does Infinite, Lexus, and Mercedes have hardtop convertibles when Audi, bMw have soft and hardtop convertibles. The most expensive luxury cars like Bentley, rollyce Royce, Lamborghini, ferrari use only soft top convertibles. But why keep the soft top at all? why not just have all convertibles hardtop. Plus the car looks better hardtop than softtop.
