no, you have to have owned a thinkpad, they are so much nicer than the cheap laptops, the design is classic and they are made to work well, designed with ease of use in mind, they don't make you crack open half a dozen parts just to change a harddrive or whatever.

ibm does a lot of business with government agencies. They even built the worlds current fastest super computer for the military. IBM has used the same matte-black design for years and I don't anticipate that changing. I have used every type of thinkpad including this one and despite a "boring" look I prefer solid performance over the flashy cheapo construction of HP notebooks.
