Seventy Weeks Prophecy # 3 - Biblical Time

Biblical time is dispensed to us from the throne of God in terms of years and months. To assume the Biblical year is the 365.24 day solar year or the Biblical month is the 29.53 lunar month is a mi...

Daniel says 7+62 (69 weeks) until the Messiah. Now, it says that at the HALF of the last week, Messiah will be cut off (killed) but the covenant will stay in force for another half week. 69 weeks=JesusBAPTISM, 3 1/2 yrs later (half of a week) he is cut off. 3 1/2 yrs AFTER his death, Peter converts Cornelius (GENTILE) and the Ambramic covenant (Jews only) is no more. 70 weeks ended at that time, 3 1/2 yrs after Christ brought an end to animal sacrifice.

Daniel 9
25 Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off,"

Th Bible is clear. After the 69 sevens of Biblical years the Messiah is "cut off" or executed.
A future 70th Week remains.

Correct, and Jesus was indeed "cut off" AFTER the 69 weeks. In fact, he was cut off just as the Bible said, one half week following his baptism and thus becoming the Messiah. When he was cut off, sacrifices were no longer required as Jesus fulfilled all sacrifice. There is no reason to suddenly change the length of a Biblical week for the final week, especially when each of these occurances fall perfectly into place.

I agree that the 69th week ended with Jesus' crucifixion. but the space gap is the jews dispersion over the world. The fullness of the Gentiles sins came to a full amount in 1935 (Dan.8:23). Jews began leave europe. Mar.1936 started the tribulation. Antiochus IV was the historical fulfillment of the Desolator, but Adolf Hitler is the prophetic fulfillment. In the greek alphabet they had no letter for the numeral 6, during the writing of Revelation. 666 is a translation error. 660 is correct

Yes, the presence of a western army in the region of the four angels at the Euphrates River is very significant. And we know that Iran is preparing nuclear weapons. Something big will happen in the middle east unless there is a miraculous turnaround. An explosion of a nuclear device in Iran, Tel Aviv, Damascus, or all of the above will send the world screaming "Somebody do something!" Enter the peacemaker of Daniel 9:27. Remember history. Big peace treaties usually only happen after big wars.

Yes, God has been very gracious. The Holy Spirit outpouring overflowed Israel on the day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago. He has given us plenty of time to get the Gospel Message out to the ends of the earth. But time is running out. And soon the 70th Week of Daniel, however much Preterists and Partial Preterists hate this, will be re-opening holy history. God will resume His covenant dealings with ALL His covenant people from BOTH houses of Israel, the royal Jewish house of Judah AND the Church.

problem being gavin, there is no reason to assume you should have 2000 years gap in the continuous 70 week prophecy of daniel... the CHurch recognized the 70th week had come and gone with the destruction of the jewish temple in jerusalem

which is not to say i do not agree we could very well be in the dawn of human history, with the imminent (within a generation) Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

check out the book i recommended to you earlier for a good timeline
