We interview David Kinney, author of Cars That Matter, at this years Bonham & Butterfields auction during Pebble Beach. Could the next hot ticket items be the Honda CRX and Volkswagen GTI?

  • they sold in that auction a car for 4.5 millions! :O wonder what car it was

  • It was that yellow 275GTB/4 in the last shot. There were 4 cars that day to break the 4 million mark.

  • What Auction is this? What is Bonhams

  • The Bonhams and Butterfields auction is held ever year at the Quail Lodge during Pebble Beach Week

  • On Autotrader, there is a guy selling a '91 NSX with 32k for $17,100. He's likely crazy because there are several with twice the miles and 10 grand more. Would you rather drive a NSX or a Rabbit?

  • can you say carfax?

  • a friend of mine back home had a badass orange crx with all neon green under hood wiring and mods...it was truly one of a kind in that area....actually was only 1 of 2 in like 75 mile radius from what i have seen

  • @rebeldriver5 agree, even today they have the right look and with a twin turbo they are even faster then the new zeds, to this day they are still my favorite Japanese car.

  • i have a stock crx si with only 130k miles on it, found it 6 years ago with only 68k miles. :)

  • i have one (=

  • I think it would be hard to find a completely original and completly stock CRX SI, most of them are all ruined now due to the kids that race them and put bigger motors in them

  • damn right baby! i got myself a MINT MINT sw20 mr2.

  • Thanks

  • I'd be curious as to what he would say for the mid 80s rear drive corolla's commonly known as the ae86. Like mine, that I love despite the 'ricer stigma they now have. Sure, not cheap now and perhaps the hype is going down or at least settling in but I can see it becoming a legit collector car in the future. Also good to see older Japanese cars getting more and more attention as of late, rx3's, old celica's and corolla's, 510's ect other then just the 240z's which we knew would be a collector.

  • i bought my CRX for $300!!!!! with 237000km's runs like a champ, still 0-60 in 7.5 in the DX(base) model. great cars

  • lol i love ur promoting...is i need a salesperson i would def call ya
