I really do love this song and the whole album (Boxcar is great too). Ordinary People really blows me away--it's scope (it's the longest NY song I know of), it's saxophone and guitar solos, and especially it's lyrics and mood. The whole is spectacular for a man of sixty years who has already produced forty or so albums. Truly, he is a poet laureate (sp?) of our age.

He knows about bluebirds first hand.. He has a bluebird trail. This song is wonderful.  Bluebirds are only natiive to North America, Canada and Bermuda. I like this song that he took the time to make it.
