the reason why is because dubs most of the time suck and just destroys a good anime because of bland, emotionless voice acting.
not this one though, the dubs in this one are good.
i still prefer subs though. it keeps the essence of the anime intact, if you get what i mean.

@slavezerox3 Sure you get your so called "essence" but at what cost? It would be like putting a man's soul into a doll or something, Japanese is a great language, dont get wrong, but it does you no good if you cant understand it. You know, many people assume that original show is always perfectly dubbed, i dont think thats true, in some rare cases, sometimes the english dub actors do a better job than the original!

the first two seasons werent to bad! i just keep telling myself: it could be worse.... it could be sailor moon.... or mermaid melody ...*shudder*

depends on the show, but most of the time dubs make everything more childish and corny. if u watch the fansubs, u get more of the original feel. and most english voice actors dont seem to put eough feeling in their voices. i like the slayers dub though.

I actually like the OLD dubs of older animes. The new dubs are gag worthy.

The english dub just r*pe any anime because they leave out the jokes, ecchi scenes and all sound effects like in slayer those trolls are like old man watching young women
Because those english voice actors wont put any effort in the dubbing and i dont even care that they dub it cause you dont have to watch it but what they do is making it illegal to place jap voice/eng subs on internet so you have to watch the screwed up dubs : Example : Steel Angel Kurumo and the first 2 season of Slayers
