"The Cup" - Student Surreal Film, 2004

This is a one-day shot Surreal Film for my Foundation Course at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth (Now the AUCB) WAAAY back in 2004.

The brief was to make a short surreal film, the problem being I really can't stand most student surreal films - Full of portentious dialogue, black and white imagery and arty hokeyness - so I decided to make something that affectionately harpoons the genre.

It's one of my favourites from back then and features my brother Dave in the starring role along with close buddies Tom and Rob. I look back really fondly on this time, hooking up with buddies to make a film in an afternoon with whatever we could find lying around.

PS. I don't own "Wanderlust" by REM. This is just a silly little film, no copyright infringement intended.
