Testing out my steering on my 55. The truck is sitting on an 89 S10 frame. I'm using a steering column out of an 80's suburban and a steering shaft from an 86 chevy truck. The power steering box is from the S10.

  • So is it a "straight drop" onto an unmolested/altered S-10 Frame ??? I have 54 GMC .. my grandpas truck .. dont want to alter orig frame if S-10 frame is a REAL OPTION. Thanks !! Looks awesome bro!!

  • @nappydawg006 Well, yes/no. It depends on how you want to do it. There's a company that makes bolt in body mounts for the S10 frame to drop a AD truck body on it, but it costs about $1000. Also, if you want your truck to lay frame like I did with mine, it won't lay the body as well. With mine I laid the frame and body out together and made/welded up my own mounts. Only the front of the S10 frame has to be chopped up, that's just so it stays inside of the front clip (not much to it).

  • What is the point of this video?

  • @bigbadputtytat I guess you could say the point of the video is to show how I connected my steering on the S10 frame for my 55 Chevy, but I mostly posted it so I could share it more easily on a forum that I use.
