Best Family Electric Scooter Extreme x500 (x-500)

Fun, easy, low maintenance, green, low cost, replaceable parts, low tech, safe... FAST! We bought it online http://snipurl.com/x-500-electric-scooter (they have FREE shipping) and one year later we still are riding this electric scooter. The model is the Extreme X-500.

We spent many hours studying and testing many electric scooters and found this one to be the 'best bang for under the buck under $500. I especially like the top speed of this 'out of the box' fast electric scooter. (obviously not displayed in this video!)

Our new family electric scooter - my wife and son's first day riding their new 'green transportation' electric scooter.

My wife (the 'Super Vegan' www.Twitter.com/VeganExcellence) only wears the big motorcycle helmet as a fun disguise. ;-)

Since it does have innertube air filled tires which make for a smoother ride I suggest you carry a small bottle of fix a flat from a bike shop or add some of that goop that prevents flats.

Well JK our son was 6 then and it was not for him, it was us to carry him with us.

I have an X600..and its supposed to do 23 like yours..bit it only tops out at 14 for some strange reason.

These seem to be mass produced so you may need to make some adjustments. I had to adjust the brakes because they where rubbing. If you have not tried already... I suggest you check the wheels freeplay. Just set it up on a few block to get the wheels off the ground and hand spin the wheels. They should spin easily and several times. Also make sure the chain is not to tight.

Actually... This is one of the faster production scooters. As you can tell my wife with her motorcycle helmet was VERY cautious (sloooow) when she first started riding.

Eh perhaps..Ive tried filling up the tires to 60psi..and I actually got a half mile and hour speed increase from 15.0 to 15.5mph..but I may try and loosen the chain or maybee even get another sprocket.

o come on you could've went faster.... wait til it gets going like 23mph haha... i have one and it's awesome for everyone that's heard that x-treme isn't high quality i think it's a really good scooter that's dependable and super fast
