GOD has called us all to repent for the remission of our sins and recieve the gift of the holyghost. Acts 2:38. Then he can use us. God has not called us to do anything more than that to be in him.

Kinda curioius of his prayer at the end, He asked God to save all the lost folks there, don't they have to do it themselves, don't they have to submit. Maybe he didn't mean it the way I took it but it was just the way he worded it. Just sayin.

@ilililhy1 Lots of good bibles out there, King James included. Church I came from, pastor taught from the NIV, now my pastor teaches from King James, I've learned from them both. Haven't really studied from any of the others but have lots of friends that use ASV and Amplified. I think a lot of them are good, just whatever helps you understand.

Would you accuse god of being fickle,capricious,doing that which he forbids(killing in Gen9)? If you attempt to say god commanded Abraham to do what he considers evil and wicked,do you not slight god?How do you get around this?How do you get around that god even says he never commanded it and hates child sacrifice? Jer 7:30,19:5, Lev 20:1-5.

To continue to stubbornly insist god told a man to burn his son is evil and blasphamy.God tells us over half dozen times people are lying.

@worksequalsalvation But you must remember the Bible is a progressive revelation. When God spoke to Abram what was the depth of divine revelation at the time? No one had prior to that God sworn to. To say that God did not tell Abraham to offer up his son is contrary to the text, times and tradition. Men in Abrahams time offered up their son just like they walked through a recently divided animal to ratify a covenant. Only after the Mosaic law was established God said don't offer your sons.
