Dr. Carlo DiClemente, professor of psychology at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, discusses two of his books: "Changing for Good" and "Addiction and Change." "Changing for Good" looks at a study on more than 1,000 people who were able to positively alter their lives without psychotherapy. Why is it that wanting change and making change happen in our lives so hard to do? Many people are determined to diet or quit smoking, but they often end up lapsing back to their bad habits. What is the key to success for lasting change? DiClemente discusses his findings and also breaks down major theories of addiction, which is outlined in his book, Addiction and Change.
It would be interesting to know how many views this video from people that are not taking HHP....
