My Surprise Engagement Proposal!

My fiancé, Michael proposed to me on stage after the show, "Menopause, the Musical" in Philadelphia, PA on February 24, 2008. My parents, boyfriend, the cast and crew were all in on it - I had no idea!

Before the show, everyone in the audience was given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Bloomingdale's gift card. When the show was over, the cast invited people from the audience to come up on stage for a kick line. I was feeling a little shy that day, and although my parents were encouraging me to go up, I declined. Plan B then took place. One of the cast members called Mike onto the stage. I thought he had won the gift card. Once he joined the cast members on stage, one of them said, "This is normally the time when we take questions from the audience...but today, I think Michael has a question for someone!" That's when I knew what was about to happen! I was in shock, but I somehow managed to make it up the stairs. Once I hit the stage, Michael got down on one knee and proposed in front of about 300 people. It was one of the greatest days of my life, and I will never forget it!
