I personally think Gordon Cree's piano arrangement and performance of Serenata is more exciting that the orchestral one. You can access it here on Youtube

Nat Cole recorded this song on an album with George Shearing on the album called "Nat King Cole Sings/George Shearing Plays" in the early 1960s.

Synthesizer IN
Violins OUT
makes this version unique,
but nevertheless very accurate
and played with verve and style.
Kinda abrupt ending, tho.
This has forever been one of my top ten
favorite songs , like going on sixty years.
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I have played "Serenata" as member of a live orchestra, and my first impression here is that the last couple of seconds or so were cut off from this video.

Yes. Thats correct. Because of an accident I cant play anything instrument. But I like to use virtual instruments (e.g. Vienna Sound Library) using midi files from friends all over the world. Ive got the midi for this project by a friend in Canada, who died in 2001. Sorry, that I cant ask him to make it better.
Best regards
