7 Advanced Cornering Techniques
(demonstrated by professional scooter retards)
The mistakes made here are what to AVOID. Nobody crashes, but many were seriously confused. As far as I know, they're too ignorant to be embarrassed....
Here's what you can learn from this video:
1) RECON
(know the road 100% and the conditions of each corner for that date and time)
2) SETUP
(braking points, corner entry speed, lines: entry, apex & exit points)
3) RIDER TRAINING & ABILITY
(know how to weight shift, counter steer, trail brake etc.
4) BIKE SETUP
If you can go fast, make sure you're bike can too....in the case of scooters: remove center stands.....sport bikes don't have them for a very good reason.
5) RIDER PROTECTION
Make sure that your protection is not only for you, but your passenger too....this includes medical insurance etc.....
6) ANTICIPATE
(plan for what you can, and expect the worse from what you can't)
7) AIR SHOW SYNDROME
Avoid going beyond your limits to satisfy crowds and cameras.....
you can't really fault the driver when the gear drags, those little mopeds just aren't designed to lean as far as the driver intends.

@Rashnak66 Fair comment, but there are many scooter riders who wear full kit and really wide very quickly around corners. They hang off, knee drag etc. They can keep up with the fastest of us in the tight stuff, but get left behind because of bike bike's better acceleration & speed.

@Rashnak66 Actually they can be leaned over really far....take a look at my latest vid "Perfect Motion"
However, the scooters have been extensively modified to do this.

They target fixate, their lines are all wrong, body positioning in some cases is way off... Training is always a good idea and I'm glad I've invested in it.

@keeperofthepuffins Accurate comment.....these scooter retards get their training from first hand experience of crashes....they are the most unobservant / unaware people I've encountered. My apologies to the Superbike riders: 99% of them ride very well in Taiwan.
