Catholic devotions - Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Devotion to the Sacred Heart was revealed by Our Lord to St Magdalen Mary Alacoque back in 16th century. The Order of Jesuits and in particular Bl Claude de Colombiere SJ, confessor and spiritual director of St Magdalen, helped to propagate the devotion. It became soon widely spread among Catholics. The great popularity of this devotion may be attributed to its fruits, for it helps to love Jesus more and understand His love for us sinners, that prompted Him to become man, to suffer and die for us and through the power of His Resurrection to overcome sin, death and the devil for our salvation.

Jesus is pointing out the importance and superiority of spiritual in life. Woman can be biological mother but not spiritual mother to her child. She maybe unbeliever, in want of morals etc. Not all mothers are mothers in the spiritual sense. That is why the same Jesus gave us His mother as spiritual mother and helper before He died saying: 'This is yopu mother, this is your son' . Do you not get it??

You misinterpret His, His mother was most obedient listener to the words of God - this is what He meant. Btw, if you have a wife, daughter and you love them, you certainly think of them as very special persons. How can you then say the mother of Christ whom you may love is 'nothing special'? She IS very special because she was chosen by Christ Himself to be his mother, and one more blasphemous word about her and I will block you.

All this strange talk of sacred hearts and immaculate hearts is foreign to the scriptures.

These traditional Catholic devotions are not strange talks,. These are devotions to Our Blessed Lord and his mother's love for us, sinners. Charity or love in modren language, is always connected with the heart. It also helps us remember we owe charity to God and our neighbour through following the example of Our Saviour and His mother.

The Catholic church is the ONLY church Jesus Christ himself founded and established. Everything the Catholic church believes, teaches, and professes is true and right.
