Don't buy OWI stuff, they have poor customer service.
i got one of their robot kits (not this one) but it doesn't work so I tried emailing them and they never replied even though the box said if there is any problem just contact them.

And yes... you'll need to get one to make sure it's safe for the kids. Might I suggest you get the model that has the USB interface so that you can also control it with your computer? :)
