LOTRO Brullug the Lvl 50 Nemesis Drake solo by a Loremaster

Brullug is a level 50 Nemesis Drake in the hardest part of Sarnur. He spawns in one of two places, this video shows me killing him in the harder of the two spots (at the bottom). I also have a video of me soloing him in the easier spot (in the middle section).

This fight was done solo. No help getting to the starting spot, no help while fighting. Nobody else is in the room.

Total fight time was a whopping 1 hour and 45 minutes.

I've slowed the video down starting around 4:40 to show what happens when this guy resists a mez or stun. There is an amount of luck involved, but mostly the fight is about minimizing risk and always having a backup plan for when (not if) things go wrong. Patience is key here. Trying to rush the fight will get you killed.

yes, but you'd have to get lucky on resists since riddle has a 30s cooldown.

did you use the pet at all? from what it looks like, your routine was..

stun, mez (wait for SI to go away), stun, mez... rinse,repeat... right?

Yeah, that was pretty much the routine. I couldn't use my pet because sending him to the drake would get adds, and even 1 add would probably cause a wipe. Hence all the standing around.

And the captain's other skills that give a minor heal are situational and/or have long CDs.

I disagree efthisname. Some clasees don't have the necessary skills to keep themselves healed and powered up enough to outlast a mob with very high morale. (champs, hunters, captains for example). As a player of a captain, once you blow your strength of morale, and last stand, that's it. Then you have to rely on pots, which don't cd fast enough.

This is why PvE in LOTRO needs DR..... the fact that you can keep him completely locked down like that is vomit inducing.
