@spartakid1130 Simply put they are the remnants of the former US government hiding on an oil platform. They think they're the only "pure" humans left (besides those still in the Vaults) and everyone else are mutant due to long term radiation exposure and must be destroyed. In both Fallout 2 and 3 they are looking for ways to spread a virus that will kill all mutants (which include most "normal" humans you see in game, and YOU) but keep the "prime" humanity (enclave+vault) alive.

Obviously the Enclave is evil, only much in Fallout 3. Eden not only wants to destroy mutants, BUT, he also wants to destroy all non-Enclave with modified FEV virus so Enclave soldiers can bring martial law over all. Basically, the F3 Enclave is being facist.

@spartakid1130 In fallout 2 you found of they were pretty evil. In fallout 3 they don't give you a reason directly. You kind of realize a lot of problem in the wasteland was caused by the enclave.

Can someone tell me wy the enclave are well the bad guys, I just got the game and a little bit in but already know the story line but I forgot wy the enclave are attacking you, aren't they the solders of America?!?!? Wy do you have to kill them again?!?!
