Most Canadians have enough insight to know bias in news broadcasting when they see or hear it. Only time will tell whether propeganda arms of political parties posing as legitimate news outlets will work in Canada as opposed to the USA, where ignorance is a plague.

I don't mind right-wing journalism. But there's a difference between right-wing and just plain irresponsible. The flagrant and groundless accusations they make are not something that anyone needs.
I don't understand why right-wingers destroy their own integrity by supporting such crap.

So often you hear that the U.S. is so conservatively biased that even their own left wing is right of center, but it's actually the rest of the world that is liberally biased. When you want an equal balance of individual rights and egalitarianism, *that* is dead center. But only in the United States do you find *anyone* who actually advocates individual rights *above* egalitarianism. That is, that freedom is contrary to and more important than a guarantee of prosperity at someone else's expense.
News ISN"T SUPPOSED to be entertaining! please, I don't mind a conservative point of view, but lets keep our journalistic integrity.

'journalistic integrity.' yes. the idea...keep news and journalism akin to news station programming. if we don't, we'll sully & confuse news content with opinion shows that have no legal obligation to be factual, and, legally, such programming can create news if host has celebrity status and pull, for as long as the host believes what he/she says, it's perfectly legal.
that's a dangerous amount of power - and to have it on an all news station - that's just wrong.

I thought Fox News had plans to actually make a Fox News North. Not that this is not bad enough.

Yes, nothing as obviously outrageous as that, though, yes, it doesn't make what has happened inconsequential according to available info.
We'll have to wait and see if the background of the creation of Sun TV News is any indication and if it will be similar to Fox. I sure hope not, but I'm very uneasy about opinion programming on a channeled categorized as a news channel. It's wrong. Opinion programming has no obligation to communicate fact.
