  • So touching! I pray for healing for all of us. I am a natural mother and it still hurts after 33 years. Pray that young girls today do not fall for the lie that adoption is wonderful.

  • Heartbreaking. Thank you so much for The Mothers Project. I wish my own mother could have seen this beautiful video - she was one, and suffered from the moment I was born to the moment she died. I pray, too, that not another soul has to live this loss - neither mother nor child.

  • Celeste - thank you so much for this and The Mother's Project!

    You always nail it!

  • Celeste,

I was totally absorbed by this riveting, heart-wrenching poem. You offer a perspective that is largely hidden from the public eye. Alongside you, I pray for truth.

  • Awesome Celeste!

  • Very powerful Celeste! Sad and beautiful and traumatically all too true! And there is still a stigma on unmarried mothers and their children. When will society respect mothers of all ages and financial backgrounds who are the mothers of our future generations?

  • The most powerful statement was regarding "the babies were never a gift!". I was at the unwed mother's home with the video young Mom... it was hell, it was insane.. it was torture. When my child was RIPPED from my arms-- I can not tell you the void and pain.

  • Oh, thank you, so much, M ... I want the whole world to see, to hear, to know the truth about the millions of girl/mothers who lost their babies to adoption. Best, Celeste

  • Celeste,

Powerful prayer and The Mothers Project is much appreciated. Thank you for reaching out to all those who where drawn in by adoption. FirstMothersReunited(M)

  • You are better than me, I do not and will not pray for the agencies, lawyers and those family members who thought it best to take us babies away from OUR mothers and who still act like they're God and keep us apart. When they go to Heaven let them explain to God the deceit and lies told to 1st moms, aparents and the babies who even as adults are at they're mercy. So no I do not pray for them.

  • it was very touching, you made me cry

  • Thank you Celeste. You have put into words and images what each of us feels. I'm 42, and learned I was adopted just days before my 42nd birthday. Projects such as yours are helping us to adjust. Thank you.
