I personally love both guns....the glock is lighter, has a higher capacity and isn't a high maintenance firearm. While the 1911 is a heavier gun which reduces muzzle flip, a lot of competition shooters choose this firearm which should say something about its accuracy and it was the military sidearm from 1911-1985..so It has seen a lot of duty and won a lot of wars. My personal opinion though...if I am going into combat..I'm taking the Glock. In a home defense situation or at the range...1911.

You gotta toss in the mix the Springfield Armory XD 45, one bad-ass piece. It combines both the old and the new, I've never had a FTF with it, and it shoots smooth, and accurate, with simple breakdown above the Glock and 1911.... give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.....>:)

I really like the rub marks on the front of your glock...means that thing is going in and out of the holster alot...

Why can't they come up with a polymerframe 1911 .45... It would definitely be lightweight 1911 instead of all steal. But if its the end of the world with chaos and anarchy, I would still choose the .45 1911 instead of the glock Yeah !!!
