This video is a QUICK glimpse of Isabella, and only begins to give an example of what her new life is like. The pictures, words, and music don't express the reality as it is. Managing Diabetes is TONS of work and involves many supplies some are pictured in this video. But the largest struggle I face is the internal heartbreak (heartbreak doesn't even seems to express exactly what I am feeling for Isabella) I desperately wish, pray, dream, and ask for a cure, not only for my daughter, and my husband but for all who live with Diabetes.

  • I just learned about Dr. F last weekend, Im so excited to see what phase 2 brings. I want all type one diabetics to be cured, you all deserve the freedoms that many take for granted. Take care, Amy

  • Thank you for your kind words. Isabella is doing great and has adjusted well with living a life with diabetes (much better than I have.) She willingly lets me check her sugar, and give her shots. I think somehow she knows that it has made her feel better. She even says "diabetes" in such a cute little voice :) She will start pumping with the Ping in Aug, Im so excited for that day! Just yesterday she had 7 shots... She deserves less "pokes"

  • How is Isabella doing now? My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 last April at 28 months so I know how difficult it is. No other diabetes in our family. Lots of love to you all xx

  • I'm with you: "We all pray, dream, and hope for a cure". For myself, after thirty years with Type 1, I'm feeling more optimistic than ever right now!

I know you would do anything to make Isabella's life easier, and sometimes praying, dreaming, and hoping makes us feel helpless. But you're doing well by spreading the word and spreading awareness. Between Dr. Faustman in Massachusetts, and the doctors in Canada working to refine the Edmonton Protocol, there is hope.
