CNBC Debate: Who's in Charge?
In partnership with the World Economic Forum, the CNBC Debate focusses on the role of leadership and collaboration in the context of growing economic insecurity in many parts of the world.

The debate addresses the following three motions:
1) Have central bankers lost both their focus and control with respect to economic governance?
2) Have new stakeholders, such as sovereign wealth, hedge and private equity funds, become the new power brokers?
3) Do we need a new sheriff to police global financial markets?

  • how dare the stupid clock stops the great george soros.

  • Bet John Snow must be kicking himself for these words now...

  • I would have to say these Men are feeding you all a bunch of crap. People need to do their own Research on this matter.

  • Well I would have to say every thiing midwesterncharm said is true , maybe you should wake-up. I however would eliminate half of Congress and half of the Senate as well. I also would eliminate welfare as well. I would send all Illegal immigrants home. If they want to live here they should come legally. If Welfare is eliminated then they would have to got to work or starve, then the Illegals would not be needed. Now would they.

  • Get rid of Obama and our economy will be fine.

  • George Soros would love to be the "sherrif". I wonder if he had anything to do with the electronic run on the bank in Sept. 2008.

  • stop smoking pot.

  • The policy of greed and theft is one thing these people do not dare to mention. It is not policy screwing things up, it is greed, control, and power that is screwing things up. I don't need a Harvard degree to know this. Centralized power over money will always create greed and corruption. Give the power back to us, the people.

  • Private central banks with the power of money creation, that is problem in a nut shell. Abolish the FED NOW! Bring the power of money creation back under the treasury department.
