I don't think one should "want" to be anything, instead, from this "song", rather, one should be inspired to appreciate and incarnate many of the ancient traditional "viking" or any of the "indo-european" values into their modern lifestyles, whilst passing on this knowledge whenever we can to others.

it would have been foolish by the turkish people not to use the many seaways they had. don't know if you can compare turkish travellers and merchants to viking marauders, because the turkish culture was strong and rich in those days. one of the richest in europe - if not the richest. what they really had in common: the boundaries of a family and a house's honor was sacred for both - the vikings and the turkish people.
