@DSBac I'm from San Diego! Back in 1989 I went 2 playoff games when the Sidekicks came here to play against the San Diego Sockers.

This is why youtube was invented! I was 10 years old and the Sidekicks were our life back then. Even played in some of the elimination tournaments at Reunion Arena.

I think the last 10 season of his career he stopped taking off his shirt and giving it to the fan after he scored. Could be because of the budget.

@Van2Dan -- hmmm... I never knew that. Must have been after I wasn't going to as many games. Could have been budget reasons, although the club barely survived to play in '86-'87 - so they had a tight budget then also. But I'm sure the cost of those shirts began to add up over the years...

F-ing Tatu was the biggest diver in the MSL! LOL We loved to hate him in San Diego. What fun those games were!

@BonbondeParis - Everyone loved to hate Tatu when they were for the opposing team. Who can blame them since he was wreaking havoc on their team - and even without any "diving". Like this goal for instance. :-)

I was a Dallas Sidekicks season ticket holder for the last eleven seasons (1993-2004). My buddy from college (Lonewolf) were the two guys on the center line, ten rows up from the player benches, who always wore the cowboy hats and player jerseys. I miss them.
