Drum Camp 08 - Monobloco - Brazilian samba funk

Main stage at Drum Camp 08 Brazilian samba superstars Monobloco hit out a fantastically groovy tune.

It was the second Saturday in a row that's I've had the fortune to play on the same stage (not with them!).

As a result I could take the camera to film from the side. So we lose a lot of the show from the front and the vocals/guitars are low in the mix. But the percussion is prominent...So we get a drummer's heaven!

Perhaps this could be called the Stage Side Percussion Remix version?

It's a shame the camera mic doesn't pick up the full awesome sound coming from these guys in all its glory. The large surdo drums are really shifting air. At least you're saved the earsplitting from the tamborims.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did at the time!
