Actually, I like the album version better, he put a lot of melody in it.. this live version is full of soul of course, but the album one is more... I don't know how to say it, like.. it's got the right flow.. it is elaborated, and it's got the right climax moments, it's like a story in an instrumental song, as it should be.

way better than album version. i've heard this song version first, and when the album was out, it was the first song i played from the cd. i was really disappointed. he didn't insert to album version the soul and feel as he did on this live version. i guess that this version do refute the argument about petrucci's only mechanical guitarist. amazing performance.

@GilbertPetrucci I felt like you for a while about the album version, but after some spin it became one of my favourite from the cd.
i think the live version is more emotional because its an improvised piece, but the suspended animation version is more elaborated and its in a completely other style with some extras like the bass solo
but i still prefer the live one
