Men are taller and more muscular, which helps a lot in pole vaulting. Are you kidding me right now? The men can do the rings in gymnastics and women cannot. Of course men are physically stronger than women. Thanks for the newsflash. Yelena Isinbayeva is still an incredible athlete.

@makulature Then why don't they use a longer pole to jump higher? They are either too physically weak to use a longer pole, or they are too stupid to realize that they can use a longer pole. Take your pick.

@TE232011 You are a sexist bastard. Yes men Vault higher, thats obvious, but that is because men are much taller and are able to build muscle beyond the capabilities of women. Height, strength, and speed are key factors in Pole vaulting, but that in no way makes men better than women.

i don't get how some women spend their lives training to pole vault only 16'. and highschool guys can get over that easily at state. pole vaulting shows that men are physicaly superior to women.
