A Beautiful and Awesome Eagle flew onto our property in Bonita California where it was attacked by a local falcon, and then after flying into neighbor's yard it was attacked by two boxers. The eagle must have been sick because it wasn't flying away. Yet despite its attackers it held it's ground proved itself fearless and brave. On the video you will see close ups as the eagle gets so close to the camera it's beak practically hits the lens! After seeing one of the boxer dogs grab the eagle by it's claw start to swing it around, I jumped over the fenced grabbed the boxers and put them in their kennels. Finally I get help from Alex we capture the eagle who is totally weak and docile called the animal control who transported it to Project Wildlife in San Diego CA. See www.projectwildlife.org -- They take in all sorts of hurt wild animals.

  • the music sounds like buddhism monk praying?

  • Yes, the second music piece is Buddhist monks chanting a healing mantra. The first song is from Jorge Reyes featuring Maria Sabina a real (but now deceased) native shaman from Oaxaca Mexico. The whole experience was intense, and spiritual. I thought these sounds fit it well.

  • lol yea i like it ..:P

  • Reply#1 Continued: Jorge Reyes recorded her chanting for his album a few years before she died! The second track is a "Tibetan Chant" The Tibetan chants are known to be healing. I choose the two tracks since the eagle needed healing.

  • Looks like a Harlan's Red Tail morph or perhaps just a bark morph of a RT.

  • Far too small to be a golden eagle. It is a hawk of the buteo genus. The coloring looks like a short-tailed hawk, or a dark morph of a broad-winged hawk. Either way, I hope it turned out ok!

  • Great video but ANNOYING. Why in the world did you add that stupid chanting music???

  • That's no Eagle....an eagle has much thicker legs and larger feet/talons. It looks like a hawk/kite.

  • Beautiful bird, fabulous video, GREAT JOB!!!

    5 stars Mike & Gloria

  • Looks a lot like a Golden Eagle. We have those around Big Bend National Park in south Texas. You guys did the right thing and I am proud of ya'll. Its nice to know there are other people that feel the same about wildlife. Unfortunately, many of the animal rescue places are not operated by the same. They're more into 'animal control' (not saying PW is one of these). I am hoping that this fellow made a complete recovery and was released. I'll follow the link and check it out. Great job, guys. =D

  • I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time out in the wild, and I respect the ferocity of wilderness, and all that. But honestly, I'm glad that you did all you could to help that beautiful little creature survive.

  • great video man, I thought it was cool how you where able to see this as more than just some eagle hurt on your property. :)

  • Bonita California - That changes things. That has to be a Juvenile Bald Eagle because of its beak color, wing underpattern and size.
