1972 College Basketball Brawl - Minnesota vs Ohio Buckeyes

On January 23, 1972, with 36 seconds left in the game that pitted the home team Minnesota Golden Gophers verses the Ohio Buckeyes turned ugly as Ohio's center Luke Witte was fouled hard going up for a layup. Minnesota's Corky Taylor quickly helped Witte to his feet only to knee him in the groin. An ugly brawl ensued. This event is consider by many sport historians as one of the most embarrassing moments in college basketball.

In 2000, after e-mailing each other for years, Witte and Corky Taylor met at

Taylor's house for supper. Witte and Taylor hugged each other at the airport earlier in the day in Minnesota. Later on Clyde Turner showed up and they talked some more.

Luke Witte today is a church minister and he wanted this meeting to heal the past.

Fights happen in baseball, hockey, and other sports dominated by white players. @arther1045 Of course they do, blacks make up the fast majority of higher level basketball, take a glance at all the fights in hockey and who's in those. and yes a guy like bill Laimbeer made a career out of cheap shots and trying to injure somebody and he's the definition of blue collar. I'm not defending the actions in this video, but to try turn this into an overall statement on black people (it's almost 40 years old too) is pure racism.

I'm not a big hoops fan, but it seems it's usually a negroid assaulting one of the few whiteys on the court.  BTW, Behagan was just arrested here in my town for stealing about $7,000 from an old white lady with Alzheimers. Just another thieving monkey. LOL!
