It always brings a smile to my face when I get another email notification that someone commented on Jerry's video. My sweet little guy passed away in April 2011 from an intra-abdominal tumor. I miss him every day and can finally look at his photos and videos without crying.

For those that are asking how he was so tame - it took a LOT of time and patience (several months). I never pushed him to do anything, I let him learn to trust me and come to me. We developed the strongest bond through patience and me showing him that it was safe and fun to interact with me. I incorporated him into my daily life (budgies are VERY curious) and I have so many good, funny, and loving memories of him.

Thank you for all of the wonderful comments about my little dude - this bird means the world to me! Everything that I do for him I want it to be bigger and better - he has a friend (Ricky) that he shares a flight cage with, & they come out & fly around every night. I don't ever think it's too late to work on getting a bird to interact with you & come out of the cage - the birds life will be much more enriched through the additional stimulation (in addition to things like bird friends, toys, etc)
