**********************************************
This Tower was built in 1964, is located in the North Side of the train Station, on top to the Kyoto Tower Hotel and is 131 meters tall. Due to the regulations of the City, this tower is still the tallest building in Kyoto.
The Kyoto Tower is part of the city landscape, especially at night, and as it is visible from very far away, is helpful to find your way around Kyoto.
From the observation deck, you get a 360 degrees view of the whole city.
In the Square in front of the Station, a beautiful dancing fountain entertains all the travelers passing by. For this December Season, along with traditional Japanese tunes, Christmas songs fill the air with a peaceful spirit.

I love the fountain! We had something similar in my city for the light festival, and it was very beautiful, but it only had one colour at a time. This one is so rainbowy! ^_^

I look forward to it! This next trip I will also visit friends in Tokyo for a day or two, though most of my time will be spent in and around Kyoto!

I doubt that I remember all of the temples and shrines that I visited, but I do know that I saw some of the more popular sites, such as Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Fushimi Inari, Nijo Castle, Imperial Palace, and Byodoin in Uji-shi. I have friends in Kyoto-shi as well as Uji-shi. I spent 10 full days there last month, but will be there for 15 days next November!
