"There is no experience of one's mental state." Meaning thoughts are not physical so they may not ever be found in this physical world? So then should we look to quantum physics? At the quantum level a physical stare transforms to a metaphysical state, thoughts? Like the radioactive decay from a particle, so too does the cells of the brain emit energy, as noted with the EEG. If the individual thoughts of the cells can be found, that would be the day. More like a collective than a single thought.
