Nice set with the skyline in the background. Almost reminds me of the station's CBS days back in the 80s, they had that skyline background on the set behind the anchors back then.

This aired a few weeks before they switched over to the Novocom package. (Which was a significant step down...) The 11pm newscasts were open free until about a year or so ago.

Haha..Phil Rogers is actually an NBC 5 (WMAQ) reporter that they used for that live shot. I think he was doing live reports for alot of the NBC affiliates as i doubt they had the money to send them or risk their lives.
