You are definitely right with what you are saying. It's the same with e.g. vegans. People see a sick, malnourished guy, find out he's vegan and conclude that all vegans are sick and weak and therefore veganism is bad. They simply ignore all the sick people on a "normal" western diet. I really hate prejudices. People should start using their brains.

You've got a good point - as a minority, more attention is put on anything that members of your group do. Basically, if 10 people of 100 are criminals, it's far easier for the more basic parts of human nature to brand that 100 people as all criminals. But if there are 100,000 people of which 10 are criminals, then the situation changes. Granted, there are more minorities than white folks, but in America, white folks are the the majority in media representation and wealth.

You are right and white people do it the most! One day, they will know what it feels like to be the minority. It's sad that so many of us have to walk in the shoes of others in order to have some kind of empathy towards another, who 'appears' different.
